Take Flight was a series of performance pieces rooted in public engagement and drew on Burger's experiences of the #FeesMustFall movement in (2016). These performances were based on an exploration of that memory, identity, and connection.
About Nicolene Burger
Nicolene Burger is a visual artist based in Fish Hoek, Cape Town. She works primarily in oil paint, multi-media installations, and performance art. She received her BA (Visual Arts) from Stellenbosch University in 2017 and is currently completing her Master's in Live Art and Public Performance at the ICA, UCT.
