ǁIs ge sada ge, sada ge ǁis (She is us and we are her) was a choreographed dance work that meditated on the memory of Indigenous/First Nation womxn, two-spirited individuals, queer bodies and trans womxn who fell prey to the evils of the colony.
About Torogo Denver and Darion Adams
Torogo Denver is a Khoikhoi First Nation activist and writer who challenges the kakapusa or erasure of the Khoikhoi language and narratives. He helped construct the work with Darion Adams, an artist, dancer, dance educator, choreographer, project coordinator and facilitator who choreographed this performance. They are the founders of The AIM Society, an organization that contributes to the cultural landscape of Manenberg and surrounding communities by producing art spaces that engage the community. Adams is a graduate of the University of Cape Town’s Centre for Theatre, Dance & Performance Studies as well as the Jazzart Dance Theatre.
